The "Hallen für neue Kunst" is a privately run museum of contemporary art. Since its foundation in 1984 it has consolidated its reputation as one of the most convincing venues for experiencing new art, and has served as a model for sccessive projects.

Europe's largest water falls. In times of normal amounts of water flowing down the river Rhine, 700 cubic metres of water per second tumble down 23 m over a rock 150 m wide.

The wine-growing region of the Klettgau is well known even abroad for its first class wines which, however, are rare. The wine growers' museum in Hallau features an interesting exhibition about the crafts and the people of this region.
